Reporting back

I bought the new Chanel lipstick as previously discussed. Oh my word. It's just completely gorgeous. The range is called Rouge Coco. There's the usual marketing nonsense that justifies the £21 price tag. Vanessa Paradis looking impossibly decadent and French, a film playing by the counters, beautiful brochure etc.

But this lipstick does live up to the hype. Firstly big thumbs up to the Chanel lady in Fenwicks, Bond St who was down to earth and normal. Unlike the man in Selfridges who, although did warm up to my friend and I, took himself way too seriously.

I got a bright colour as I am bored of neutrals and if you're going to do it, do it right. As George Michael would say. So I got 17. Which will mean nothing to you unless you are on board the Rouge Coco love train. I even took MY OWN picture of it. Which shows it is love.

Oh, and it lasts beautifully without drying your lips out. It may have changed my life in a small but significant way.

Has Spring sprung?

I am going to go with yes. Because I am over winter in every possible way and I read we're going to have spectacular spring. So bring it on. Now please.

It's time to dig out your bright and breezy make-up, lighten up the perfume, buy your bikini (yes, buy it now, don't wait until July), and break out the eye-popping colours. And stop wearing black. It's depressing me.

My shower gel of the week is Burts Bees Citrus & Ginger. Suitably zingy and no nasties in it. I used some today and liked it. I bought it for CoverBoy but hmmm, I may requisition it.

I made a rookie error with my nail colour choice this week. I went with Damsel in A Dress. What was I thinking? Karen tried to talk me into Footloose but I thought I wanted something darker. Turned out I don't really. Such are the trials I have to face on a daily basis...

Today's nail colour

Long stemmed roses by Essie. Badly named as it's a shimmery almost orange-red. Nothing like typical red roses. Anyway, another perfect colour for a sunny day.

Lipstick Lust

I keep reading about the new Chanel lipstick. Two things appeal about that sentence - Chanel and lipstick. I must try it. No matter that I am actually quite lazy when it comes to lipstick and tend to just wear lip balm. This is glamour in a stick. I shall report back.

Nars Orgasm Illuminator

As promised, a report on this. I love it. It's fantastic and exactly what grey winter skin needs. You can use it on your whole face or just parts you want to illumimate. It makes you satisfying glowy and I highly recommend it.

Today's shower gel

I don't usually post purely about a shower gel but I bought this yesterday and I am loving, loving, loving it. My Rose obsession drew me in and it's such a beautiful, low-key rose. Foams up beautifully and makes a nice bubble bath too. All for £7. Korres Japanese Rose Shower Gel. I recommend.

Today's nail colour

Bermuda Shorts. The sun shone and I got carried away. Gorgeous purple that's actually very wearable.

Eyelash serums and other excitement

It's been a while hasn't it? I'd like to say it's because I have found all my desert island products and have nothing new to...
